Don’t get too excited, but at least I’m alive.
So, while a train was crashing into a building west of Osaka, I was sitting at a red light travelling to a neighbouring town for work. Take note: I was stopped at a red light. Two seconds later my car is totalled and cannot be repaired. I wasn’t hit from behind, or from the side… nope, I was hit dead on the front. How did I get hit in the front at a red light? Some crazy ass Japanese gangster kid took a turn at like 70km/h in the rain and proceeded to skid into my lane. I don’t know if you’ve seen my car before, but its not the biggest or strongest car. It smoked a little bit and then died.
I have a little bit’o’whiplash and my knee hurts, but other than that … its all good. I get a new car out of it, but I will have to negotiate to make sure I get everything covered. It is 100% on the other guy, but because my car is shitty they are trying not to limit how much they can payout.
But who cares about that… I’m back in the land of highspeed Internet. It’s not super highspeed like I was on before (or everyone else in the entire country is on!) but it is way faster than it was before. This also means that my 416 phone is back. So get off your ass and call me. I mean that… for those of you that I haven’t been keeping regular e-mail contact (work is busy and having shitty internet at home does that!) I now can’t wait to hear from you!!
Give me a few weeks and I should sort out my e-mail box (it is ridiculous right now) and the webpage should see a whole bunch of updates.
It’s good to be back on a real Internet connection (and not dead.)
Kiko wasn’t in the car, so that is a really really good thing.

If the dude is taking corners at 70 in the rain, he deserves to have his license revoked. What if someone was walking across the street instead of you sitting in your car? Or if you were sitting on your scooter? I don’t understand people who hit other people, and then try to use their previous inability to properly drive as a reason to be allowed ot keep driving.
You know what Greg, thats eventually what I decided on as well. he’s not taking it very well though 🙁
yeah… probably not a good idea. My office actually forbade me from removing the claim so that is probably a good thing. My internet is so fast… my phone works.. this is so exciting. Chris, thanks for the call!!!

Tell me about it… the story is actually getting more interesting because the guy called me and begged me to remove the claim because he will lose his lisence if I don’t… arg… and my knee still hurts 🙁
