In all seriousness, I have recently informed Kiko that when we move to Tokyo, Noa will have to pay his own room and board (hopefully Kiko’s too!) through baby modelling gigs. Yes… he is that cute. ๐
So anyways, Kagawa (where we live, remember?) has this magazine called TJ Kagawa. Noa has recently made his publication debut there. It is not very exciting (they just photographed him at his play group [play group??]) and they printed his name as a girl (with the girl suffix -chan) … but it’s a start…

no you are right. -chan can also be used as a term of affection or endaerment. in this case the, -chan and -kun were specifically used to identify the baby as either a boy or a girl… and noa was identified as a girl! ๐
I have a question, I thought you can you -chan as a suffix for kids regardless of gender…It’s only when you get older do you start using -san and -chan, or has it really been that long since Japanese class days?
100% in agreement. babies are made to make money and do things for you. like cook and massage. noa’s job will be to make money and support us when we are old.
Nice! I am constantly telling Lara and friends that i am going to make our baby make money for us! Why have it just sit there and drool, why not have it sit their and drool and be in a commerical doing it!!
