New Years Present

Quick information:

In Japan there is a practice called “otoshi dama

It is where children are given little envelopes with money from friends/family/relatives to spend or save how they choose.

We gave Hina, Kana and Shu some money, and we gave Noa an envelope with a UNO card in it.

He was very happy. He pulled it out and said “it’s money” (in Japanese), and as he is prone to do, pulled me aside and said (in English) “money”. He likes to translate for the white guy who doesn’t understand Japanese very well…

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Yes I recognize the fact that pictures are a little short of demand…

It’s New Years and we are on Tanegashima, so no chance to upload.

Give me a few days…

Do have some updates though…

Hana got cuter (about time)

Noa can talk crazy sentences (in English and Japanese)

Ok, only in Japanese, but his English is OK

Still has a unibrow…

Other than that, things are well… New Job, New Baby, lots of stress. But all in all, I think we are all happy, missing you all very much, and wanting to wish you a very very Happy New Year!

Love, David, Kiko, Noa and Hana

Want to see me recycle pictures?

This is Noa apologizing for the slow updates…

How can you not forgive him?

Holiday Update

Ok, so Kiko and the family are back in Tanegashima waiting for me, and I am a bit lonely…!

Here are some pictures of the family right before they left.

Also, people have been asking about the job. I have recently left Wall Street Associates/Step Consulting, where I made many great friends and had an excellent time, to join AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), a computer chip/graphic card semiconductor company that competes with Intel. It is challenging, but I will keep everyone informed and up to date!

Here are some pictures of Noa, Hana and us getting ready to go to Tanegashima.

Noa has pushed the Christmas tree over once, and has taken up and put the decorations on maybe a million times.

Baby Awesome 20 is still Baby Awesome 2.0… maybe even 2.1

Miss you all and will update soon!

Love,

In answer to your question, yes,  I have been too busy to call you, e-mail you, update this site, think or breathe!

Long story short, things are crazy! Not to mention we have 2 babies, but Kiko’s Mom headed back to Tanegashima, so we are on our own for about 10 days.

We will both be heading over in a few weeks, but until then I am juggling Noa, work and Hana.

I also have some other exciting news… but let’s wait until the end of the week for that!

In the meantime, here is a nice picture of how we are…
