Noa’s Other Families…
This month things worked out and we got a chance to spend time with our other family’s here in Japan!
I have an excellent relationship with my two host families from when I was a highschool student here in Japan, the Kato family and the Takashima family. It just worked out that we managed to meet both families this month in July.
Some of you might remember Nao and Daisuke!!
(yes, i realize that wasn’t a flattering picture of me above. I was sunburned and tired.)
Noa is special
He fell asleep standing up. For 1 hour.
Anpanman Show
Remember Anpanman?
Well then you can imagine the excitement when he came to the mall near our house.
Kiko made asked me to sit in line for 45 minutes so we could get up close and personal.
It only got better after the show was done (the show consisted of a 2 minute commercial with babies in anpanman diapers doing exercises while the crowed had to follow along) as all the kids got to shake anpanman’s hand.
Noa went for the kill and got a hug.
Noa’s only comment, “anpanman is big.”
We followed it up with some stuffed anpanman-action,
and that finished off our day.
Just in case you forgot how stunningly handsome my child is (just like pappy.)
rooster
We live 21 minutes from Shinjuku, the busiest train station in the world.
Today on the way to the station, a rooster was sort of just hanging out on the sidewalk.
super excited!
He is super excited because he put trains in his bag!

This is how I keep Noa out of my room! His mortal enemies, Shrek and Elmo.
He screams afraid and cries.

and its used.
and cheap.
but its new to us!
