Where are we? Being robbed. That’s where.

Quick update.

Moved to Vancouver.

Like Vancouver.

Got robbed in Vancouver. Have no wedding ring, engagement ring, Dad’s watch, documents, cameras and computers.

Sad.

Feeling better but still no stuff.

Everyone is coming on April 18th, and once we get a camera back, we should be in business!

Expect some updates soon! In the meantime, follow my twitter if you need daily updates.

Last Month in Japan

As many of you know by now, we are preparing to leave Japan.

Both our children were born here and it has been more than 5 years since we have lived anywhere else.

Lots of people to say goodbye to, and things to finish before we go!

WIll update more soon…

Noa’s return to modeling

So the last time we took Noa to a model shoot, he ran around, screamed, cried and ripped up the set. No exaggeration.

It ended with the producers whispering to each other “he is really cute, but I don’t think we can manage him.”

Before we leave Japan (which by the way is happening sooner than later!) Kiko wanted to give him one more shot.

Here are the results:

Other than complaining it was too bright, things went pretty well…! Photo shoot pictures to come later this month, but for now here are some shots taken by Kiko.

David back in Toronto… us back in Canada?

For the first time since joining AMD, I had a business trip to Toronto. (For those of you in the know, AMD purchased ATI [Canadian Graphics Company] 3 1/2 years back.)

While I can’t go into the details just yet (doesn’t the title say it all?) it gave me a chance to catch up with some some old friends.

For those of you who I didn’t contact, here is my schedule for the last 13 days.

Tokyo → Toronto → Tokyo → Austin → Tokyo

Priority was given to those who made the trek out to see me 🙂 (Sorry!)

(You didn’t know I was back? Check out facebook or twitter.com/debicha1979)

Thanks for the nice hat Shane.

Christmas 2009

Yes, I understand this is late. But better late then never, right? … RIGHT?

IMG_2777 IMG_2915 IMG_2887 IMG_2805 IMG_2809 IMG_2850 IMG_2908 IMG_2897

We have Kiko made Christmas dinner, Kiko made Gingerbread House (amazing!), Kiko made stockings, some girl-on-girl action, some creepy Santa’s (NOT creepy. That is Barry he is great!) and children with lots of presents. What more can you ask for!?!

.. Cute pictures of Hana? Done.

This may or may not be in response to those who said this blog was Noa-heavy…

Piano + Harmonica

On my way back to Toronto as I write this. I was hoping to do a large update before I left, alas it seems that I can only find the time to do short sporadic picture updates. That being said you can always take a look at my other home on the web. davidbbennett.com

While going through my pictures I realized that Kiko has become an awesome photographer. No post-processing at this time, but she has really got a talent for the frame and excellent timing.

I also bought my kids Pianicas. What are these things called in English? Piano + Harmonica = Pianica.

You are welcome.

Updating … from China

So I am in Dalian, one of China’s “resort” cities and also one of it’s special economic zones.

No one told me that I wouldn’t be able to access Twitter or have of my favourite podcasts and websites.

Kiko has been able to get me through pictures of the kids which apparently weren’t censored.

So… here you go

That is Hana’s self proclaimed “cute” pose by the way.

And look Noa is smart too. He is playing Shogi/japanese chess. Better than Jim.
