David back in Toronto… us back in Canada?

For the first time since joining AMD, I had a business trip to Toronto. (For those of you in the know, AMD purchased ATI [Canadian Graphics Company] 3 1/2 years back.)

While I can’t go into the details just yet (doesn’t the title say it all?) it gave me a chance to catch up with some some old friends.

For those of you who I didn’t contact, here is my schedule for the last 13 days.

Tokyo → Toronto → Tokyo → Austin → Tokyo

Priority was given to those who made the trek out to see me 🙂 (Sorry!)

(You didn’t know I was back? Check out facebook or twitter.com/debicha1979)

Noa’s Friends #2

Let’s suppose that work is super interesting, but very very busy. Now let’s suppose that I want to update the website with more exicitng Noa videos, but I just don’t have time…

Now what would I put in it’s place??? That’s right! Here is a collection of pictures featuring Noa and his friends and family. These were taken during our time back in Canada, and since we arrived in Tokyo! Enjoy…

ps. Many of you have been asking for pictures of our new house… more to come!

(and finally, as always, a big THANK YOU to all of you for your very kind wishes on my birthday.)

Love, David & Kiko & Noa

Chris & Andrew

Kiko and I (and possibly Noa) want to send a big congratulations to Chris & Andrew who will be getting married in Toronto today. I can’t tell you how much we wish we could have been there. (That goes for you too, M&L, T&D, S&D :()
Chris has been one of my closest friends since as long as I can remember. Although we only met Andrew a few times, he is a fantasticly nice guy and it is quite obvious how happy they make each other. Both Kiko and I look forward to spending more time with you both when we are back in Toronto.

Congratulations Chris & Andrew. We miss you tons and will be thinking about you today. We know how stressful a wedding can be, so take your time, enjoy it, and know that you have friends all around the world that love you.

More pictures from Canada (and Japan vs. Australia!)

I am just getting ready for my flight this morning, which I might have to miss as Japan has their World Cup Opener against Australia. I am supposed to be at the airport at 10:30am, but the game begins at 8:55am.

Why am I so excited? Well, since both Canada and Jamaica are not in the World Cup this year (make that only once ever for Canada!) Japan becomes my adopted team. While Brazil will probably take the group, as long as Japan can win this morning and carry some momentum over to the Croatia game, they might have a chance. Don’t get too excited…

Now for those of you who don’t care about the soccer (!!??) here are some more pictures of Noa hanging out with his family in Canada…. (I won’t see Noa and Kiko for almost 11 days 🙁 as they will be keeping my Mum company in Canada) The first picture is in celebration of my friend’s engagement!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! 😛

A few more pictures from Canada

I finally managed to pry a few more pictures off of my cellphone. This is Kiko, Chris, Franz & I celebrating Chris B’s birthday at a very good restaurant: Banzai sushi. I still owe him a present though… (not that seeing me wasn’t present enough mind you…) ps. Franz was kind of enough to treat Kiko and I to dinner. Thank you!! (my brain was not working, and I apologize, but upon reflection I could have used that as an opportunity to give Chris a birthday present and pay for his dinner. d’oh. chris, forgive me!)
