The title says it all.
Kiko has been taking some amazing pictures, the cherry blossoms are out, and Noa started English nursery school (2 days a week) with some teacher from Etobicoke.
And Noa’s 1st day of Pre-School (opening ceremonies)
all things d@vidb
We went to the Railway Museum on Saturday. Noa had a great time, but was a little over-excited.Thought it would be a good chance to give you some pictures.Hana is quite cute, and Noa still answers me only in Japanese (although he is clearly understanding what I tell him in English.)We hope to have some new videos up soon!and some Hana…
followed by pictures of me shooting guns… in Texas. (crazy scary)
In answer to your question, yes, I have been too busy to call you, e-mail you, update this site, think or breathe!
Long story short, things are crazy! Not to mention we have 2 babies, but Kiko’s Mom headed back to Tanegashima, so we are on our own for about 10 days.
We will both be heading over in a few weeks, but until then I am juggling Noa, work and Hana.
I also have some other exciting news… but let’s wait until the end of the week for that!
In the meantime, here is a nice picture of how we are…
nice!
Ok, so the site is not actually up and you guys can’t see this. I get that… suffice it to say we are still alive, we are still taking pictures, and I am still updating the site. Enjoy!
It is summer (here in Japan anyways) so Noa is just relaxin…
Yes, we are likely happier than you. Sorry.
And yes, Noa is cooler than you.
This month things worked out and we got a chance to spend time with our other family’s here in Japan!
I have an excellent relationship with my two host families from when I was a highschool student here in Japan, the Kato family and the Takashima family. It just worked out that we managed to meet both families this month in July.
Some of you might remember Nao and Daisuke!!
(yes, i realize that wasn’t a flattering picture of me above. I was sunburned and tired.)
I am currently uploading some pictures from our recent trips to Nagano and Guam as we speak!
In the meantime, why don’t we get some video goodness happening.
Anyone that has a slight interest in Japan or the Japanese language will have heard of the term “ganbatte!”. It is pretty much the all encompassing word for “good luck!” “you can do it!” “chipper up!” “break a leg” etc etc. It is pronounced GAN (as in Ghandhi)- BAT – TEY (hey with a T)
Watch the master in action.
DOWNLOAD NOA GANBATTES!!
希空くんのビデオ (頑張って!)
Speaking of mastery, I decided it was time for Noa to learn how to wink to woo the ladies.
So there was an “audition” for a magazine in Saitama, where we live.
That’s all I was told. Being the good person that I am, I went along
and did what I was told.
Now is time for the warm-up, Kiko says.
I thought it was weird that I was asked to sit with Noa for “his” audition,
but I sat down, took the picture and then we went home.
“What happened to the audition?”
Apparently the audition is some women’s magazine where all these
mothers sit down and show their kids. and me.
Poor Noa… once again he has been suffixed with the little girl diminutive. –chan.
(As in Noa chan.) That reads “Bennett, Noa (Noa) chan” by the way.
He’s a boy tards!!
