Kiko and Noa enjoy folding some paper animals…
Umm… our kids 🙂
Hana at the beach
And finally, Hana on her magic broom…
all things d@vidb
As many of you know by now, we are preparing to leave Japan.
Both our children were born here and it has been more than 5 years since we have lived anywhere else.
Lots of people to say goodbye to, and things to finish before we go!
WIll update more soon…
She looks like one of those North Korea karaoke singers…
The halfies…
And goodbye to some good friends…
And some ice cream for good measure…
Yes, I understand this is late. But better late then never, right? … RIGHT?
We have Kiko made Christmas dinner, Kiko made Gingerbread House (amazing!), Kiko made stockings, some girl-on-girl action, some creepy Santa’s (NOT creepy. That is Barry he is great!) and children with lots of presents. What more can you ask for!?!
.. Cute pictures of Hana? Done.
This may or may not be in response to those who said this blog was Noa-heavy…
On my way back to Toronto as I write this. I was hoping to do a large update before I left, alas it seems that I can only find the time to do short sporadic picture updates. That being said you can always take a look at my other home on the web. davidbbennett.com
While going through my pictures I realized that Kiko has become an awesome photographer. No post-processing at this time, but she has really got a talent for the frame and excellent timing.
I also bought my kids Pianicas. What are these things called in English? Piano + Harmonica = Pianica.
You are welcome.
Pianicas and Hana in a wig.
So I am in Dalian, one of China’s “resort” cities and also one of it’s special economic zones.
No one told me that I wouldn’t be able to access Twitter or have of my favourite podcasts and websites.
Kiko has been able to get me through pictures of the kids which apparently weren’t censored.
So… here you go
That is Hana’s self proclaimed “cute” pose by the way.
And look Noa is smart too. He is playing Shogi/japanese chess. Better than Jim.
Unfortunately I seem to have had a whole load of business trips piled into January. Noa is at the age where he gets really sad an in turn makes me sad. 🙁
Fortunately I have been able to keep them to weekdays only, but with some rather large changes heading my way at work, pretty sure we are in for some tough times ahead.
So until I have some more news, take a look at these in the meantime:
So we have some Hana looking cool. Noa making donuts, and Noa chillin with his classmates.
I am still committed to having big plans for this site… don’t you worry.
In the meantime, Hana is talking up a storm and has shown to be quite tough.
Noa asked me what a hypothesis was, and that in combination with him making the connection between people and chimpanzees/gorillas/monkeys when we were discussing evolution, I am convinced he is brilliant!
Either way, Hana had her 2nd birthday on November 9th (the keen observers may note I also turned 30!) and Noa turned 4 on the 16th.
here are some pictures…
Hana and my birthday above complete with nicely drawn presents for me…
Noa below… (note the Kiko-made cake. Yeah!)
And some family goodness for you.
So.. for some reason unbeknownst to Noa and I, our Zoo/Dinosaur museum combo national-holiday day turned into a day at the park.
Noa “loved” the big slide, if ramming him down the slide as he screamed at me that he was going to die.
So far so good…
Getting there… (Noa really really enjoyed his ride on the train by the way. Hana, not so much.) That is Hana’s cute pose by the way.
Oh wait… apparently I didn’t get a good shot of him almost spastically throwing himself off the slide.
Once we started moving he seemed to enjoy himself.
Note Hana’s slide pose. I think she actually believed she was going down the slide.
She wasn’t.
I promised less pictures of kids and more me goodness, didn’t I?
It’s coming. But for now shut up and enjoy the pictures!
Noa and Hana’s Halloween collection.
Noa is cool. Hana (despite how she looks above) is happy. See below how she chills with her friends.
Hana had a great time with her little baby friends. Now was Batman in dress but a power ranger in spirit.
See you soon…
