Anyone that has a slight interest in Japan or the Japanese language will have heard of the term “ganbatte!”. It is pretty much the all encompassing word for “good luck!” “you can do it!” “chipper up!” “break a leg” etc etc. It is pronounced GAN (as in Ghandhi)- BAT – TEY (hey with a T)

Noa’s Diary #8: お知らせ！ Big News!

さいきん、ママが太ってる。ぼくみたいにおなかがぷっくりしてるんだ。
どうしたのかな？と思ってパパとママに聞いてみたら、どうやらぼくは
11月にお兄ちゃんになるらしい。ぼくの妹か弟になる赤ちゃんがママの
おなかの中に入ってるんだって！だからぼくはママのおなかをやさしく
なでなでして、いっぱいちゅーしてるんだ。11月にぼくは２才になるし、
きっとかっこいいお兄ちゃんになれるはず！

Recently Mommy is getting round like me.
I was wondering why, and then I asked daddy, and he told me that in
November I would be a big brother! So now I have to be nice to Mommy’s
tummy. In November I will be 2, and I think I can be a good big brother.

It’s like backlash from all the people who complained

about too much Noa, and then not enouh Noa.

Anyways, lets all enjoy Noa in his cool Chinese pyjamas.
